Case Status, a client relationship management and marketing platform for law firms, announced today that it has received Series Seed II investment funding of $1.5 million, led by our firm. The funds will be used to support the company’s continued rapid growth, including the addition of new veteran personnel and the development of new feature sets for specific practice areas.
Case Status saves lawyers time while improving the client experience through better, more efficient communications. By providing clients with a better experience, lawyers are able to build cases faster and increase referrals and positive reviews from existing clients.
On the inspiration for the solution, Lauren Sturdivant, lawyer, co-founder, and CEO of Case Status shared:
“It’s fascinating that in a world where you can track everything—from Amazon packages to the status of your pizza order—there was no way for clients to track the status of their case, one of the most important things going in their lives.”
While practicing, Sturdivant felt the pain of trying to keep all of her clients updated. She began looking for an available solution but was unable to find one. Sturdivant made the decision to leave her law firm and build a client relationship management solution for the legal industry.
On the investment, Dan Drechsel, senior vice president at BIP Capital, stated:
“We’re excited to partner with Case Status to resolve a common but critical pain point between lawyers and their clients—a dearth in regular communications. We look forward to working with Lauren and the Case Status leadership team to continue the company’s momentum in this untapped area.”
